Monique is a charango player (charanguista), ceremonial musician and charango teacher.
They run CHARANGO WITH MONIQUE, a didactic and cultural platform all about the charango, a revolutionary 10-string instrument from the Andes - holding workshops, events and concerts, as well as helping people find a great charango and incorporate the charango in their ceremonies and lives.
In 2023 they composed a Charango Suite at the Visby International Centre for Composers (VICC) in Sweden. Listen to it on Bandcamp.
Monique’s mission is to listen to intersectional voices and ancestral wisdom through song, to connect to self, source and others via the magic of the charango.
